Ancient Glass Beads

Rita had the good fortune in finding ancient glass beads in many places, including an entire collection in Damascus. Each of the first four photographs displays six ancient glass beads obtained from the Syrian collector. They are either of the Roman era or early Islamic period. Photographs No. 5, 9 and 12 display ancient beads from Iran (or Persia). Photographs 8 and 20 display ancient glass beads obtained in Egypt.

Photographs 18 and 19 display ancient Indonesian glass beads. Photographs 34, 35 and 36 each display a Warring States bead. Ancient glass eye beads are presented as group of 3 or 5 in photos 37-40. Some particularly unusual and beautiful beads can be found in photos 51 to 58, and 68 to 70.

The collection also includes ancient glass feather beads and many other ancient glass beads from the Middle East.
